Climate change

The Protocol of Kyoto - signed in 1997 - is the first multilateral agreement that parala fixes specific aims reduction of emission of greenhouse gases in the developed countries. The EU has played a role fundamentally in the consolidation of the bases of the same one and hopes that it could come into force as soon as possible. 
The Protocol of Kyoto has been translated in the EU in the European Program on the Climate change (PECC), which saw the light in June, 2000, and whose intention is to use as help the EU to expire with the aims concentrated on Kyoto. In the frame of this Program there have been adopted more than 40 measures that would allow a reduction of the emission of noxious gases twice top to the stipulated one in Kyoto.
